Lisi Lohre
Federal Policy Fellow

Lisi is the Federal Policy Fellow for the Wildlife Conservation Society, based in the Washington, D.C. Office. She provides critical support to the Federal Affairs and Policy Program through project management, scheduling meetings, prepping briefing materials, and tracking progress on Program tasks and priorities. Lisi researches and drafts memos on federal policies and legislation related to biodiversity conservation issues and coordinates the WCS appropriations request process, including outreach to congressional offices.
Before joining WCS, Lisi worked as a research assistant in natural resources policy at the Congressional Research Service, a teacher in DC public schools, the graduate program coordinator for the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont, and the Citizen Science Coordinator in the Field Conservation Department at the Denver Zoo. She completed her Master of Science in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont in 2021 with thesis research focused on informing sustainable management of cashmere goats in Mongolia. Her undergraduate degree was in Biology—Organisms, Ecology, and Evolution from Colorado College.
Lisi also plays ultimate frisbee for the D.C. Shadow in the Premier Ultimate League—the first professional ultimate frisbee league for women and gender-expansive athletes in the U.S.
