Meet Our Team

Leah Finsie

Leah Finsie is a GIS and Forest Monitoring Analyst for WCS. She works on emission accounting analyses for NbS project development. She also assists with creating estimates of land cover change and emissions resulting from landcover shifts within WCS’s priority landscapes. Leah graduated from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability, Geography and Political Science. She then went on to receive her Master of Science in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University. While at Tufts she was an intern for the Stockholm Environmental Institute where she was the GIS lead on a study to investigate fire occurrences and tree cover loss within VCS REDD+ projects.
