Jose Pereira

Jose has over six years of experience in sustainable development and carbon project implementation across Guatemala and Central America. He led the Reddes Locales REDD+ project, covering 200,000+ hectares of community forests, tackling deforestation through biodiversity conservation, governance strengthening, and sustainable development.
He has designed and implemented projects funded by the Global Environment Facility, Guatemala’s National Emission Reduction Programme, Verra's VCS, the Inter-American Development Bank, and Agence Française de Développement, working closely with communities, governments, and private stakeholders.
He also has experience in the agriculture, livestock, and dairy industries, optimizing production, quality, and documentation processes.
