Chenyuei Mbacham is a seasoned professional in nature-based solutions with an MSc in Environmental Science specializing in Natural Resource Management in forestry. He has extensive experience in forest conservation, restoration, carbon accounting, and sustainable land-use planning, focusing on combating deforestation and fostering climate-resilient ecosystems and communities. Mbacham has experience in implementing VCS methodologies, including the recent VM0048 methodology for avoided unplanned deforestation. His expertise includes designing and managing REDD+ projects. Previously, he worked as a Carbon/Research Analyst at Revalue Nature, contributing to the designs of projects at different stages of development.
As Carbon Officer West Africa at Burn Manufacturing, he led in the validation/verification of their cookstove program of activities (PoA) in the region. At S2 Services, he oversaw blue carbon REDD+ projects in Cameroon, The Gambia, and Sierra Leone. He also worked with the Cameroon Wildlife Conservation Society (CWCS) promoting wetland conservation and restoration initiatives in the Douala Edea National Park (DENP).
A dedicated family man, Mbacham enjoys football, spending time in nature, and cherishing moments with his wife and two children.
