REDD+ and Carbon Specialist for the Andes Amazon Orinoco Region

César Marín is the REDD+ and Carbon Specialist for the Andes Amazon Orinoco Region. César is a biologist from the National University of Colombia, with graduate studies in Plant Sciences at The City University of New York. He worked for ten years as a botanist in Colombian Amazonia and later, he moved towards Andean Forest and high Andean ecosystems. He has participated in restoration projects in the Andean páramos and, more recently, in the development of a methodology for the quantification of carbon contents in high Andean páramos in Colombia. He served as lead auditor and technical expert for validation and verification of GHG reduction projects in Colombia and Paraguay.
