Adria Defalco
Adria is the Business Manager of Marine Conservation overseeing the finance and administration of multi-continental marine grants across key priorities of Sharks and Rays, Ocean Giants, Sustainable Fisheries, Coral Conservation portfolios, as well as the Marine Protected Area (MPA) Fund.
She graduated with her bachelors from Case Western Reserve University with a major in Management and Operations Research from the Weather School of Management, and a minor in mathematics. She graduated with her masters of science in Non-Profit Fundraising Management from Columbia University.
Adria's previous role was at the Queens Botanical Garden, in Flushing, Queens, as the Director of Finance and Administration and before that as Chief Business Officer at SUNY Maritime College, in the Bronx. She has provided leadership in the assurance of a sound financial future and managing fiscal, grant, and administrative operations.
Currently, Adria is a volunteer with the Billion Oyster Project, restoring oyster reefs to New York Harbor.
